I remember when Fire Storm could utterly destroy a group of stupid Dwarves in Iron Horse Mines, because they wouldn't scatter. I really loved my Ele back then.

I remember
... when picking a secondary profession was a huge decision
... when there were no flags and heroes. You click a monster, henchies go kamikaze.
... when henchies had no rez sig(?), and absolutely refuse to rez you first because you're not a monk
... when I tried to attach a monk rune to my ele armour
... when completing Villainy of Galrath with henchies felt like an achievement
Part of me wants the old GW back, but the other part of me is really enjoying the current GW. :P

Mad terrible henchies, with alesia, lina or mhenlo just standing there not rezzing anyone
Putting a sup illusion on my lvl 7 mesmer (although I'd been playing while by then :P)
Getting an Ilyanna's Staff from a stranger for my mesmer and being amazed and really grateful.
Getting a superior vigour from a chest after I'd had the key drop 5 minutes before (Kept the same armour for close to a year because of that)
THK being really hard and never doing bonus, as well as using hench monks due to lack of real ones
Taking my necro over the wall at lvl 5 with no new armour, not all of the skills, and dying a lot. Not played one since ><
People being nice and polite, and less criticism of shoddy builds

I remember sneaking into the Korean beta test and staying online for two days after the end of the test - then having to explain how we did it to Gaile.

I remember on my first char, in the crystal desert, I had no money at all and never had, but then I killed some guy and a gold peice of armour dropped,I IDed it...Sup Vigor.... I had no idea how much it was worth so i put it on my non-max collectors armour, then later I found out how much it was worth, held my breath while I salvaged it from my armour and the next day sold it to some guy for 75k, over 15x what I had ever owned bfore. Then wasted all the money on 15k armour. ^^
Happy days, I dont know if I perfered the game back then compared to now, I think it was me that changed, knowing everything your going to face and every thing you have to do drains the fun out of it.

Sup Vig->50k
Sup monk Runes-15k
Back in the day, where you almost had a heart attack when you got a gold.
Back in the day, when I farmed griffons and grossed 10k an hour.
Back in the day, where people played the game for the game..

When IWAY was the only really threatening gimmick out there, but helped train monks new to PvP by giving them head-on classes of kiting, e-management, quick decisions, etc.
WoH/HP/Infuse Monks
